Some of the most common indoor bugs we see anywhere in the world are flies, spiders, fleas and beetles. Nobody likes to have a bug indoors, so most people will go to just about any extremes to eradicate these common indoor bugs. The less common indoor bugs may be woodlice, earwigs, scorpions and millipedes or centipedes, although they are not less wanted.
It does not matter where you are in the world, it is very difficult to keep these common indoor bugs outside, unless you go to the extremes of keeping all your windows and doors shut all of the time, which is quite impossible. I now live in Thailand and I know for sure that this is not possible.
So, just what can you do about it? Well, let’s deal with all the flying insects first, because of all the common indoor bugs, I think they are the most unpleasant indoor bug. They are very irritating, buzzing around your head and mosquitoes and other flies can create irritating sores and besides that, all flies carry disease. I cannot bear to see them walking on food, knowing that they have more than likely just come off some dog’s muck somewhere and now they are spitting on my food to taste it with their grubby feet!

Walking in to buy a television these days can make you feel like you need a degree in advanced technology just to choose what type of television is best for you. If you research on your own different types of TV’s available, you will find much said about plasma screen televisions. Some of it bad, and some good, but looking at the actual test data you will find that plasma screen televisions are a superior value.
Some of the myths you will see during your research will have to do things like burned in pictures, image retention, bad picture quality at wide angles, all of these things have been sited as reasons to steer clear of plasma screen TV’s. However, if you take a look at the actual testing done on plasma screen televisions you will find that these statements are far from facts.
Burn in and image retention are just two of the terms you will seen thrown around on the internet as things to watch out for when purchasing a plasma television. These are the terms that describe damage that can happen to a television screen if it is stuck on the same picture for too long, like being on pause, or the image that stays on your television once you turn it off.

The indoor insect zapper is the best way of clearing the area around you of insects, especially the flying ones such as mosquitoes. The indoor insect zapper evaporates any insect from a mosquito to a gnat instantly on contact with a pleasingly loud, electrical ‘crack’!
However, this does not mean to say that the indoor bug zapper cannot be operated outdoors, as long as it is not raining. It should be treated like any other high voltage electrical equipment. Keep the electric insect zapper dry and please do not use it while you are standing in water!
Models vary greatly, but there are basically only two types of electric insect zapper: the battery operated bug zapper and the rechargeable electric bug killer. Both are equally effective at zapping bugs and work on the same principle.
The electric insect killer resembles a ‘kids’ tennis racquet, but with three layers of ’strings’, which are in fact wires. The central grid of wires becomes live at the touch of a button, while the other two grids, one on either side, are only earths.

Plasma televisions are an innovative new technology that provides flat screen displays. Using a variety of noble gases encased in small compartments (pixels), plasmas work by converting the gases into plasma. This plasma radiates light and forms an extremely clear picture. Liquid crystal displays (or LCDs) are also flat screened TVs. However, these use liquid crystals with backlighting to form pictures.
Plasma TVs are easier to maneuver than traditional CRT televisions (also known as tube televisions). They are flat, with a width of 5 inches, and lightweight, weighing approximately 100 pounds each. In contrast, CRT televisions are much heavier and bulkier. This gives consumers more flexibility when deciding where to place their plasmas; they can be hung on walls or put on stands that support less weight. Manufacturers have even designed plasma televisions that weigh only 45 pounds and are only an inch thick.
Resolution, the quantity of pixels on the television screen per square inch, is also a key component of televisions. Flat screened televisions boast a much higher resolution than CRT televisions, which yields clearer images on the screen. High definition plasmas have resolutions that range from 1024×768 to 1920×1080. This is much better than even the maximum resolution for tube televisions, a mere 480 lines.

LCD TVs have become a very popular option in the TV world. There are many reasons why this is the case. Some of the benefits of LCD TVs that make them so popular are the price of the TV, the size, the different features, the viewing experience, the clear screen, the viewing angles, the screen resolution, and the impact on the environment. These numerous factors make LCD TVs very popular.
Price is a big factor in the popularity of LCD screens. The look is similar, but the price is much less. The reason that this is the case is because the plasma screen materials are much more expensive than the LCD lights that light the LCD TV. This is the main reason why the screens are so different in price.
One of the main advantages of LCD TVs is their size variety. Plasma screens have to be big. LCD screens can come in any size. The picture quality is also the same for any size of an LCD screen. The resolutions available on the LCD screen enable it to have quality images in any size.

If you aren’t already familiar with the electronic bug killer, you are really going to like it and if you have used one before, I’m sure you’ll welcome it back like an old friend! The electric bug zapper does just what it says it does: it zaps bugs. But it does it really, very effectively.
Any insect that comes into contact with the hand held insect killer is fried. Smaller insects like gnats and mosquitoes are vaporized with a very satisfying flash and a crack. Larger insect, like house flies and wasps die, but don’t explode like the smaller ones.
How many times have these flying insects taken the edge off an otherwise lovely evening in the garden? Or how many times have you not been able to get a good night’s sleep, because you know there’s at least one mosquito in the bedroom. It has happened to me hundreds of times, I know! It is very satisfying to get your own back with the electric insect killer.

The appliances found in most households that we commonly refer to as radiators, in my humble opinion, should not be called radiators as they do not technically radiate. In fact, radiators transfer heat using convection.
Radiation refers to energy being projected outwards in waves in all different directions to then be absorbed by the first body it collides with, whether that is a human being or an object of some kind.
Convection refers to when matter is heated up, in this case it would be the water inside the so called radiator, and then simply heats up the air or matter surrounding it causing its iron housing and the room it is in to get warmer, producing the same (or a very similar) end result as radiation, but it is the means by which the heat travels that makes the difference.
So we call the most commonly used heating appliance in the world a radiator, despite the fact it doesnt radiate in the slightest.
However convection is far less harmful than radiation. This is because convection is simply the air getting warmer whereas radiation is energy travelling in electromagnetic waves which if youre regularly exposed to, can be dangerous.

Halogen lighting is perfect for use in most general lighting situations as well as for places where accenting is needed.
Halogen light differs from standard incandescent light in it’s brightness and exuberance. It is a rich light and creates a stimulating and active workplace.
When shone onto a coloured surface, they look brighter and more appealing than they would under normal incandescent light.
Another benefit of halogen lights is that they allow you to create your own light settings as they come with or without reflectors and in a variety of sizes and colours.
Common applications such as retail fashion shops or hotels find that halogen lamps are perfect for rich colours, a pleasant ambiance and a sparkling light.
With halogen lights you can create narrow, sharp beams of light for accenting, or soft ambient light that covers a wide area.
As halogen lamps have a slightly higher colour temperature, they emit a far fresher and cleaner light than the old incandescent light bulbs.
