Most Cities’ own a landfill for their residents. That is why most of them will provide a FREE pass to dump trash… yeah you heard me, there is no charge if you go to your local landfill! All you really need is your license and proof of residency. It really isn’t all that hard to dump the trash yourself.

Getting rid of your own waste has a general process and it goes like this: fill up your own truck, drive down to the landfill, show them your proof of residency along with a valid driver’s license, and that’s it. Most of the time it’s absolutely no hassle.

If by chance you find that it’s not for free, I can assure you that it will be double the amount if you choose to have a hauling service provided for you. Most likely you will find that those who charge you to haul your trash away also own landfill’s in your city and are located in a nearby location.

Please take note that any landfill not owned by the city IS going to charge you way more than what the city will if the city even charges you. So don’t just go to any landfill that you find. Call and find out more about them first, it could save you a lot of money.
